Talent Show & Raffle Recap!

Hollymead Parents & Friends:

Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended our annual Talent Show and Spring Raffle on Saturday!

The Talent Show featured 50 student performers in 35 different acts.   All of our Hollymead stars lit up the stage with their singing, dancing, instrument playing, joke telling and hula hooping!

Raffle prizes were announced throughout the night and winners who were not present will be notified by email or phone.

The PTO raised more than $700 through raffle ticket sales.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers, especially Kristen Rabourdin who directed the talent show; Kristen Lyons who coordinated the Spring Raffle; and Marty Hudtloff who was our MC for the night.

Thank you for your continued support!

Calling All Girls, Grades 3-5

CALLING ALL GIRLS, Grades 3-5!!!!

Hollymead Elementary School

proudly presents

The Girls on the Run® Program

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls, ages eight to thirteen years old whose goal is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of healthy living. The programs combine training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. The girls meet twice a week for approximately 1-1/4 hours after school over a period of twelve weeks.

The Girls on the Run® objective is to reduce the potential display of at-risk activities among its participants. The goal is fewer adolescent pregnancies and eating disorders, less depression and suicide attempts, as well as fewer substance/alcohol abuse problems and confrontations with the juvenile justice system.
