A Note From Your PTO President

Thank you to all the parents who were able to come out to our PTO Parent Community Chat on Monday night.  We heard from Nancy Teel and Staci England about the Hollymead School Safety Plan and how our teachers and administrators prepare for all situations (weather and emergency).  We talked about lockdown and shelter in place procedures, and what our students are guided to do during those times.  We also learned how parents will be notified of different situations.

If you were not able to join us and are interested in learning more please see our meeting minutes attached here: PTO Meeting Minutes Dec 4 2017

Our next Parent Community Chat will be Monday, January 29th.  We hope you can join us.

A Note from Your PTO

President’s Spotlight – Meet Mrs. Nancy Brase

She is often that friendly face who greets you as you enter our school but did you know that Nancy enjoys bowling and knitting?  Nancy and her husband Bill have 2 grown children, Nicole and John and Nancy has been working at Hollymead for 24 years.  She is in charge of payroll and substitutes (tracking timesheets for teaching assistants, paying substitutes, and helping arrange coverage for classrooms), keeping copiers and laminator in working condition.  She also arranges for the buses for field trips and hallway monitors during SOL testing.  And yes, Nancy spends some of her free time participating on a bowling league with Mrs. Gallagher!  Mrs. Brase – we are so thankful for you!
