Dear Western Families,
I know the recent events in Florida have created concern in school systems across the country. We continue to review our practices and procedures surrounding safety at the school. I also continue to emphasize the importance of our students, staff, and community to share their voice when they are struggling or see others in need.
I have provided the following message as we continue to work together to provide a safe learning environment for our kids. I will provide an opportunity for students to share their concerns and ideas this Tuesday, February 20, during lunchtime in the auditorium. I mention this in the video below.
As always, don’t hesitate to let us know if we can assist you in any way.

Representing Norway on NATO, senior Abbey Palmer won a “Best Delegate” award also. Sophomore Ben Lenox was awarded “Outstanding Delegate” for his work on the Catalonian Parliament. For her role on the Chinese Cabinet crisis committee, junior Gauri Prakash won a Verbal Commendation.
All the WAHS Robotics teams competed on January 13 for a second chance at qualifying for the State Championship. Her Majesty’s Engineers will go to States at the end of February. Loose Screws and Windup Warriors are already planning the training in the post season to prepare for next year!
Congratulations to the following students who auditioned and made All-District Band in January.
