Seniors Applying to College: Seniors are reminded that any college applications with January deadlines require you to bring your SIGNED, blue Transcript Request Form to your counselor by Friday, November 16. Please see your counselor with any questions.
Seniors considering PVCC: come to the field trip on November 16. Meet professors, learn about some programs and financial aid. Get the permission form from counseling or Ms. Bertrand in the library.
Juniors and seniors interested in hands-on learning: come visit the apprenticeship fair on November 14. Permission forms are available from Ms. Bertrand in the library.
Students attending Latin Convention: We will have a meeting in Mrs. Koon’s room on Tuesday for the first bit of lunch. We need to discuss logistics and make sure everyone is signed up for their activities. Please come promptly at the beginning of lunch.
UVA Sustained Dialogue brings together diverse groups of students for honest, open dialogues about issues that matter. WAHS has the pleasure of hosting moderators this Tuesday, November 13 to expand the conversations started in The Hate U Give book club. The dialogue will take place in the library beginning at the start of lunch and ending at 1:30. The goal is to bring our community together to discuss issues of race and our society. In order to maintain a safe space, the library will be closed to non-participants
There will be an interest meeting for everyone who wants to audition for the spring musical, The Sound of Music. This is mandatory if you are going to try out. This Wednesday or next Monday in the auditorium during the first half of lunch. You only need to attend one of these meetings.
There will also be a meeting for everyone interested in being stage manager or assistant director for our spring musical, The Sound of Music, Friday, first half of lunch, in the auditorium.
Please join us in the Cafeteria on Wednesday November 14th for our annual Thanksgiving Feast. Our staff has been working hard cooking up all of your favorite festive fare.We will have Turkey & Stuffing and all the fixin’s.

Congratulations to the Warrior Boys Cross Country team on winning the State Championship on Friday. Joe Hawkes, Jack Eliason, Cyrus Rody-Ramazani and Joseph Taylor swept the top four places. Will Bonner finished thirteenth to also get on the individual award podium. Stuart Terrill and Thomas Kallen finished strong to help increase the point spread on the other teams in the championship. The Warriors scored 21 to outdistance the runner up Christiansburg team. Congratulations also goes to the Senior class team members to be the first WAHS Cross Country class to win 3 State Championships during their tenure as Warrior Harriers.
The WAHS Girls Cross Country team was State Runner Up this weekend. The team was led by first year runner Sterling Hull in 5th place. The other Varsity runners were Jenna Stutzman, Kate Ratcliffe, Emily Winder, Alyssa-Santoro-Adajian, Caroline McGahren and Michal Kipnis. Congratulations girls!
The Varsity Football team defeated Rockbridge Friday night , 33-17. The team advances to have a home game this week against Liberty-Bedford on Friday night in the Regional semifinals. Game time 7:00 p.m. Let’s get a great home crowd there for the team!
The Fall sports awards program will be held Tuesday night at WAHS in the main gym. Meet at 6:30 p.m. and bring a dessert to share with the group. The program will start at 7:00 p.m. Drinks will be provided by Pepsi.
The Winters Sports Parents meeting will be held Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
The activity bus will run at 6:45 p.m.
